4 – Part Series - Life Drawing
Join artist Kim Anetsberger for a 4 week workshop in life drawing. Each Tuesday night class runs from 6 to 8 pm on 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, and 10/3. Life drawing is the study of the human form. Throughout the series, you will learn basic life drawing skills that range from learning how to do quick gesture poses, to learning how to plan out a long drawing and everything in between. All classes will have a live model from which the students will draw from. Member $70, nonmember $80

9/13, 9/20, 9/27 3 – Part Series – Oil Painting
Fun easy step by step oil painting of a still life. Working from photograph in alla prima style that will allow you to paint landscape and still life easily and quickly. Great method for plein air painters needing to paint quickly to capturing light and mood. The class is taught by Mary Reed on 9/13, 9/20, 9/27 from 6 to 8 pm. All materials included. Member $60, nonmember $65

9/30 Introductory Weaving
Learn some basic tapestry techniques and then create your own structure and unique design. A wooden hand-held loom (to keep) and a variety of yarn and materials will be provided. The project can be taken home to complete at your own pace. You may bring something special to weave into your unique tapestry such as yarn, ribbon, roving, fabric strips, etc. Please bring a favorite photo, saying or poem for inspiration related to nature and seasons, summer or fall. This is a beginner workshop. Materials cost, including loom, is $30 (pay to instructor). Taught on 9/30/17 from 12:30 – 3:30. Member $40, nonmember $45

10/14 Fabric Marbling
Learn the ancient art of marbling - creating designs on cotton fabrics using traditional marbling patterns. You will learn 5 basic patterns (stone, freeform, chevron, nonpareil, bouquet/peacock) and create pieces of marbled cotton suitable for a small sampler. This class is an overview of the process. We supply the prepared fabrics, chemicals, and hand tools needed for the process. Participants will be given a short list of common items (notebook, rags, etc.) to bring. Wear old clothes! The class, taught by Linda & Dean Moran, is on October 14th, from 11 – 3. Member $85, nonmember $90
