Sadly, one of the footbridges at the Ritchie Ave. end of the Lamoille River Walk was completely destroyed and washed away by the flooding of October, 2019. Warning signs have been posted at trail heads, and the trail is now closed until further notice.
Overview
The lower Lamoille River is the last stretch of an 85 mile waterway that flows west into Lake Champlain. At the east end of the trail you can see the first dam that was built on the lower Lamoille. Cross the little bridge into the woods and experience a wonderland of ferns, wildflowers and wildlife as you follow the 1.5 mile trail along the Lamoille River.
